This version of Pad Thai sauce is vegetarian as soy sauce is used instead of traditional fish sauce. you can also use Tamari instead to keep it gluten free.
This sauce has strong flavors, sour, sweet, salty and spicy. You can add more sugar if it’s too sour for your taste.

- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- ¾ Tablespoon tamarind paste, to taste
- ¼ cup vegetable stock
- 3½ Tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili sauce
