I’m excited to share another spectacular superfood smoothie; A nourishing blend of cacao, avocado, spinach, banana and nondairy milk and couple of medjool dates to sweeten the smoothie.
This Chocolate Avocado Smoothie is sure to tickle your taste buds and bring a smile to your face 🙂
Cacao is one of my favorite superfoods. In addition to heavenly divine flavor, cocoa is rich in magnesium, iron, chromium, vitamin C, and a good source of zinc, copper, and manganese. It also contains essential omega-6 fatty acids and the amino acid tryptophan, which your body uses to make serotonin, the feel good chemical.
And as for spinach, this super healthy green will provide you with a lasting source of energy. It is quite mild in taste and the spinach taste disappears once it’s blended with sweeter fruits.
Avocado is rich in fiber, folate, and vitamin K and when its added to a smoothie, it makes the smoothie creamy and actually boosts nutrition absorption. The healthy fat in avocado makes it easier for the body to absorb all the other vitamins and minerals.
